RETURN TO RACING AND RE-OPENING OF CLUBHOUSE AND BUILDINGS
Further to our previous communications, as members will be aware, it is intended to recommence Organised Racing again as from Saturday 1st August 2020, and as from the same date re-open the Clubhouse at weekends, albeit at first on a limited basis.
Members will appreciate that in order to comply with the Government restrictions still in place, a considerable number of changes will need to be made in our Procedures both off and on the water.
To that end, the General Committee has produced a new downloadable Amended Protocol for how the Clubhouse and surrounding buildings should be used which is attached for members to assimilate.

At the same time, please find three downloadable documents, one for all those involved in carrying out Race Duties, entitled “Duty Team Procedures”, the second for all sailors, entitled “Helm/Crew Procedures” and the third, entitled “Changes to Sailing Programme” which should also be treated as notice of changes to the Sailing Instructions.
If you come into the categories “Duty Team” and/or “Helm/Crew” as most members will, please study these documents so you are familiar with the changes to procedures when coming to use the Lake and the Club.
Members are reminded that during Organised Racing times, no other craft (social sailing, paddleboards, canoes, radio-controlled yachts etc.) will be allowed on the water.

Finally members are asked to exercise patience whilst all these new procedures bed in, and it is appreciated that adjustments may need to be made, as we explore these very different times in the development of the Club.
